Almost Secret.

Tomorrow I will be starting a free online class called scrapping the secret. Hit the link in my fave blog list to sign up. I am very excited as I seldom scrap these days. I really hope I find the inspiration that I need to fill my scrapbook.

Scrap Happy

Made this page today. I have been making altered art for ages and not scrapping. I think I lost my scrapping mojo. Hopefully it is back. Love this page. DS 1 aged 16.

So what have I done with the stamp?

This is what I have done.

Love this little ATC. The tail kicks over the edge of my card, but hey. There are no perimetres for art. Not my art anyway.

Got myself some twinkling H20s yesterday. My the pots are little. I will have to play with them to see what I can get them to do.

I've been making acetates today. I am soon to sign up for a swap that is based on birds. They do seem to be everywhere in the world of art this week. So here are my efforts. Will upload images of the stamps once they are made.

I love swaps. It means I get to experiment with ideas that I wouldn't necessary investigate. This time it is the SHRINE.

I began my creation with an oversized matchbox tray. I was signed up to an altoid shrine swap. I couldn't locate altoids and my alternatives just did not fit the bill so I improvised. Twas a wise person indeed who said
'Necessity is the mother of all invention'
finding the tray was my turning point. Until then I had Shrineblock. This is usual for me as I sign up for things on UKS that I have no idea about really. But that is all the fun.

I now love shrines and I am on my second.

I found a great template here which I have used to surround my matchbox tray. I did modify it slightly so that it would work with my project.

My second shrine is in the first stages of development. ie not decorated. This shrine is based on a regualar sized matchbox tray. I am loving the challenge of working at this scale. Will upload more pictures as my project develops.

I haven't blogged for a couple of days. I've been shopping, sorting out swaps (felt flowers) and it was my best friend's birthday.I did spend Saturday evening completing CJ's three in total, but I only took pictures of two. I'd sealed the envelope so did not want to open it again. Here are the fruits of my labour.

New ATCs

I made three ATCs today they are a series of 3 called 'The Love Collection' LOL.

Here's the evidence.

Charming presents

4 packages arrived this morning containing charms from the swap. Received those from Efemera, Linda, Glitterfairy, and Bunty B. I must say they are gorgeous. I won't be posting pictures as this would ruin the surprise for those who will be receiving the charms later. Think I'd better get onto making group 2. Will post pictures of my creations when they are complete.

What to do with inchies?

Make a birthday card. It is my best friend's birthday at the end of the week. I think she will like my creation.

I coloured a white square card with TH distress inks, worn lipstick, shabby shutters and broken china. I then used a bold stamp (butterfly) with black stazon randomly to create an interesting background. I matted 9 inchies onto a mat cut to 3 3/4" and centred it on the card.

Hope you like.

Index Inchies

I have been keeping myself occupied today making inchies.

Here they are. The images are index prints. They seem to fit very well. Might have to make some more of these.

Charm swap is now full

As of today the charm swap is full. I am very pleased.

I have made my first set of charms and aim to upload later. A sneak preview so to speak. I intend to include a little extra something for all participants in the swap. Not an extra charm but a charm swap ATC/inchie commmenmorating the event. I did this for the altered doll swap and it went down very well so as the saying goes if it aint broke don't fix it.

These are the charms intended for group 1. (within custom made envelope)

I've been mad busy lately

The altered paper doll swap that I am running on UKS is coming to an end. Boo hoo. I am having to say goodbye to all the lovely young ladies and gentlemen that were attending the academy for altered paper dolls. Group 2 has now been posted and I am sure I will be posting group 1 off before too long.

The charm swap seems to be filling up nicely. There are only four places left in group three. Whoopee.

I've made my deco book and I've completed a deco book. Here's how the deco swap turned out.
